WE ARE NEWLY CONVERTED CHRISTIAN ABOUT TO CELEBRATE OUR FIRST EASTER: HOW DO WE CELEBRATE IT?
-
Hello to all my good Christian brothers and sisters, My husband and I recently converted to Christianity and we will be celebrating Easter for the first time. We would like to invite some friends to have dinner with us, but we are not sure if Easter is the kind of holiday where you can invite other people. My question when is the best time to invite friends over, during Easter Monday or Friday or Sunday??? When. Karen

What you have planned out is fine. You could invite your friends over and have dinner. As for the day, you could have it on Easter Sunday. Hope I was helpful :)

Their are no rules each christian religion is different if you have one take classes and learn about it .they are many different religions so depending on witch one you follow ,depend differing rituals .How ever you do not have to belong to a religion, To be christian obliviously ,just means follower of Christ if you believe Jesus was the messiah then perhaps taking holy communion if your aloud to receive it in the church .Holy communion was Jesus last passover meal with his disciplines. This meal as Chrsitian you should know about if you don't research and learn this the ONLY and most important observance for a Christian out of the year . Easter not even the true name for this Holiday and not even the silly cultural things Christians do like Easter bunnies and eggs has not changed this .Depending on ones ethnicity and back round depends how they worship on Easter or good Friday and also reflects different spring rituals as well. .I would say take holy communion on good Friday and have meal with family on Easter as a simple suggestion with a prayer Easter is a time of remember Christs death and Resurrection witch we are to do all year round and if you haven't then this a good time to refresh your self so to speak..Its also a celebration of spring so theirs many spring activities you can do .What you eat for dinner is all up to you .What kind of cultural activities you engage in is up to you ,like Easter eggs hunts for your kids and baskets or certain foods. You can even make up your own little spring rituals . I would suggest finding out what your friends eat at Easter as they are your quests .this way you can experiment on different things.to find what you like, maybe invite some of them over in advance and have them help you cook and arrange things. While Jesus would be the focal point for Christians on Easter it is also is a time for friends and family to come together.
