How to remove infected ingrown toenail?

How to remove a severe ingrown toenail at home?

  • Hello everyone. I have a major problem picking my toenails because of anxiety. Whenever I'm depressed or stressed, that's what I do to relieve myself. Well I payed the price a long time ago, and I developed an ingrown toenail. It started in 2007 and it disappeared for a while after operation. Now it's back and worse than ever. It's not just an ingrown toenail, but it also has an abscess around it. It's colored black and has fungus coming off the edge. It's disgusting! I HAVE NO HEALTH INSURANCE! I REPEAT, NO HEALTH INSURANCE! It would cost us a fortune to go to the doctor and get it treated. When I went into surgery the first time, it was so painful getting it removed, and it's the same toe as before. I would be totally ashamed if the doctor had to see this again. I want the pain to go away, and I want to remove it myself. It just seems like a painful process, but I want to get rid of it. It hurts and it looks ugly on my feet. I haven't worn flip flops at all lately because I'm ashamed of it. What do I do to remove it at home? And how can I treat this abscess? Thank you.

Go to a free clinic. If you keep messing around with it you could get a serious infection. Sounds as if it is already. The only time I ever do that stuff is if I am in the wild and a long way from a doctor. Most county hospitals have some sort of non emergency care programs. I have a long history with first aid and a fist responder and avoid being my own doctor as that is foolish. Yes anybody who has himself for a doctor has a fool for a doctor. OH and from now on take better care of your feet. Unless you want to be called stumpy that is.

To tell you how to do this, I would have to show you, but I'd feel odd uploading onto Youtube a video on this. So, I advise you to not do it at home. There is a pretty slim chance you will get the same doctor. Don't go to the same office. I've been through this myself. I suffer from ingrown toenail- And HAVE been through the surgery. I've learned to stay steps ahead of the ever growning nuisance. Don't go to the same doctors office. I will tell you that there is a way of getting insurance assistance from the county you live in. This will sound more difficult than it actually is, but do this. First, you must call or go to the local hospital and tell them you have no insurance and if they can direct you to the program that the county offers, which is the medical assisted insurance program. You will have to qualify for it though; you have to be between a certain age; in MY case it was between 21 - 64 yrs old. And you will of course have to fill out some forms. After signing them and qualifying, they will ask you to come back and meet with a case manager of some sort. It won't take you too long before you have assisted insurance. They ask for a co-pay which you will have to pay about, ten to fifteen dollars for each visit, I was able to afford it, and I'm nearly poor. Please try what I said & Goodluck.

Ingrown toenails are not perment heal up quickly and are brought on by poor foot care. The marines needs people. If he took the hearing test 3 times he wants to be in, support him.
