How can i get my mom alone to tell her something important?

The best place for conversations like that is in the car. She can't make an excuse and walk away, and even though she'll be focusing on driving, she will listen. Also, if you don't want to make eye contact, you won't be able to. If, however, you do want to have her full attention, leave early then tell her to pull to the side of the road. Make sure if it's a long trip that you talk about it near the end, because if you have another hour in the car things will get awkward! :/
