Did you get food poisoning?

Is it certain that I'll get food poisoning if I go to India?

  • Answer:

hi..it only depends upon your eating habits. Indians normally have strong digestive system. Its normally recommended to travelers to drink only Mineral/distilled water of branded companies and also from good shops. Also refrain your self from eating street food still if u had to have it..have a coke or any other soft drink with it to reduce chances for bad stomach. Food Poisoning is not common in India and bad stomach is common so dont worry much.come to india enjoy indian food and i am sure u will love it... i am also sure your travel agent can guide u about best places to have food also...

Indian street food is lovely. Still to reduce the risks you can avoid the dirty open stands and buy it from the "Sweets and Chaat" shops. They will have almost everything that can be found on the street but in some cleaner environment. Getting some stomach discomfort happens often, but food poisoning, not that much. Especially if you avoid meat. Indians have great veg street food.
