    you have a lot of places to visit around bangaluru most important being mysore youcan also visit sivasamudram falls,banneghatta national park, naandi hills , madikeri, bandipur resorts,puttaparthi ,hampi(if time and money permits) and within the city a lot of attractions like vidhanasoudha,attharakacheri,bulltemple,... ISCON temple,visweswarayya tech.museum,Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple ,tippu palace, lalbaug ,loard shiva in old airport road (kempfort), tippu palace etc as far as shopping is concerned my faveroute mall is mantri mall malleswaram and next is forum.,you may also like to visit commercial street or MG road/brigade road for shopping

Historical monuments Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace was built in 1791. It is located near K.R Market, is a two-storied ornate wooden structure with exquisitely carved pillars, arches and balconies. better is you confirm your hotel reservations first. if u r going for a star hotel, most hotels have travel desk . they arrange everything. its safer and cheaper than booking from mumbai. travel from bangalore to mysore to ooty can be done by hired cab since u pass through mysore to reach ooty. its economical and also gives u flexibility for using the cab for local sightseeing etc. kodaikanal is out of the way ,its closer to madurai. u hv to make it as a separate trip.
