Leaving Italy and going to the UK.Education in UK?How does it work?

  • I live in Italy and my mom wants to go away from here...before September,this summer. First : i don't want to leave..but that's not the point since I have to do what my mom wants cause I am only 15. Second : how does school works?Now I am 15...I will turn 16 in august.In Italy we get a diploma only when we are 18 ... so ... what should i do when i am in uk? Should I do the last year of high school ... or start immediately college? Thanks in advance.....

    You need to finish the last years of 'high school' when you get here. The last two years of 'high school' is equivalent to what we call 'college'. 'College' does not mean university here. When you finished that (at the age of 16) you can then start your undergraduate course. Hope this helps! :)
