Why do many international students waste money to study in US and UK?
-
The current economy is full of crap. No jobs anywhere. The UK is enforcing a very strict visa regulation for international students. No PSW visa from April 5th 2012. It will be almost impossible to get a job there after spending 10s and 1000s of pounds for education. The UK government or the US government is not even ready to give temporary visas for international students who have recently graduated there to look for a job and Canada and Australia might stop giving it in a future time. Many international students especially from Africa, India, China will find it hard to repay the loan they have got from the bank if they get to work only in their home country after their education in the west. So I hear many cases that return jobless and still find it hard to get a job in their home country. Moreover many go bankrupt. Why make the stupid decision on spending money for higher education (unless you are wealthy) when you can nicely study in your home country.

Answer:
ok I am gonna tell why we do that. for example: "ME!!" I am gonna finish my high school in 2 months and I wanna study civil engineering in USA . btw I am syrian. I am gonna pay around 120 k $ to finish 4 years with a bachelor degree. I can study here without paying 1 $ bcz college in Syria is free, but I will waste 4 years of my life in the college here without learning anything and trust me when I say "NOTHING" I mean it. when I got my bachelor degree from a US college I can work anywhere , if I go to dubai for example my salary will be at least 10 k per month. and if I got a US citizen then I will have 20 k a month with an apartment and a car too. but if I studied here "in syria" I will have only around 3 k $ per month without any extra things "apartment, car etc.." and I guess a US degree is much better than British 1 ,I won't spend 1 k $ for UK .
