General Subwoofer question?

Audioque subwoofer question? (follow up)?

  • I have two amps. One which is very big and pushing a sub right now but the one I want to use on the HDC312 audioque with copper coils is a memphis 16-MCD1000d which is 1100 RMS at 1 ohm . My question is would this be the right amp to push this sub and if so which sub impedance should I choose. Dual 2 ohm or dual 1 ohm? (Website of subwoofer) : http://www.audioque.com/HDC312-Copper-Coil-Subwoofer_p_23.html This was a follow up question from a previous question I asked today because I didn't know how to talk with the people that replied about what they said. So sorry if I affended someone because I asked 2 seperate questions.

  • Answer:

That would actually be a excellent choice for the d1 it would end up giving 1100 to the sub which is a bit over but the hdc3 can handle that no problem
