Can we delete a Yahoo mail account?

If I delete my mail account for yahoo, can I still use the other features like messenger?

  • So for a while now, my yahoo email address has fallen victim to the horribleness of spam. I've been wanting to delete it because quite frankly, it's annoying. But I want to know if it's possible to delete just the mail account, or is it one of those things where you delete one, you delete them all. Suggestions on what to do would be nice.... thank you!
