Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 How Do I Remove Viruses?

  • Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 How Do I Remove Viruses? I just downloaded the kaspersky internet security 2012 Trail from Kaspersky.com. I ran a full system scan. I have 9 Viruses and 3 Trojans. When I read the list some say disinfected others say Detected: not processed, undefined, Quarantined. Then when i click on them there are the options to delete or process. So i click process and window pops and says impossible to disinfect, Delete and ignore. All I want to do is remove these viruses from my computer. How do i do that? Thanks and 10 Points

First of all try finding the infected files using the path given and delete them manually, If you can't then ->Turn off your computer Try going into Safe-mode-> you can do that by pressing F8 as soon as you press the power button to boot up your computer. Use safe mode with networking if you want to download some AV software to kill the virus. You can run a Scan Using TrendMicro TDSS Killer and also try Hitman Pro or Malware bytes. Check your IE settings if unable to go online, Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset And also go to Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings-> make sure proxy is not checked. if you are unable to go online You can also delete manually if software's don't work Run->msconfig->under start up check for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, it will show the location of those files as well, visit those location manually and delete If you know how to handle registry search for Whatever the file name virus runs with and delete them as well. P.S. Download CCleaner as well... CCleaner doesn't remove virus, but run a registry clean up after removing the virus. I suggested(TDSS Killer, Malware Bytes, Hitman Pro) as they have very high success rates and All are free softwares...Use the softwares for temporary use

I am a professional developer with Microsoft, and have about 10 years of experience in the field of Computer Engineering. Most problems with PC's are the result of malicious software that infected a Computer. Examples of this are things such as malware, viruses, trojans, spyware, adware, root kits, and worms. In other cases, they are the result of stability issues due to crashes, freezes, or Hardware Issues. Some examples of hardware issues could be a dirty cooling fan causing the computer to overheat, or low memory due to lack of RAM, which could cause the PC to run slowly. You may think it could be a virus, or malware, or registry issues, but it could be something else entirely. As a computer layman, one may find it hard to really ascertain what exactly is causing the problems, without having a professional do an in depth analysis of your PC. As professional computer repairs can be quite costly, I would recommend to you a Software that many of us in the tech department here at Microsoft use personally and professionally to diagnose and repair computer problems very quickly. It is a software called Reimage, from https://reimagefix.im .. In my personal experience, and in the experience of many of my associates, this is probably the best software ever created for those experiencing computer troubles. This is likely to remedy just about ANY problem your computer could possibly be having, and have it running like new. Reimage has won several awards, and been featured in publications such as PC Mag.
