What is a powder skirt?

You recommend Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in a LOOSE powder or in a PRESSED powder?

• LM Mineral PRESSED powder vs LM Mineral LOOSE powder? Has anyone actually tried either of the two Laura Mercier Powder foundations? I am wanting to buy the one that is the best in being water resistant. On the website they are both considered water resistant but I was told the pressed powder one holds up better. I was also told they are both EXACTLY the same, one is just loose powder and the other pressed however their ingredients are different. I need something that is long wearing thru humidity, sweat, tears, etc because I have melasma and do not want my makeup coming off showing the dark pigmentation. They BOTH cover great and cover my melasma well, just want to know which one has better staying power. I don't mind the mess of a loose powder because the staying power and long wear is more important to me. I used Dermablend which covers great and is big time water resistant however its too heavy for me.
