How To Cut Men Hair?

How to cut and then style fine but slightly wavy men's hair?

  • I'm trying to get a style similar to the top picture of David Tenant on this website: http://coolmenshair.com/2009/09/david-tennant-mussed-hairstyles.html I have grown my hair out to a similar length as that, but am I going to have to have it cut in a specific way? Ask for layering or chopped in style or something? Then what's the best product to use to style it like that? The stuff I use at the moment tends to be good, but flops quite flat after a while, despite my hair being pretty fine. It does sometimes go a bit frizzy as well. I'd quite like a product that gives me pretty decent hold, keeps the volume well (ie; doesn't go flat to my head), and offers a bit of shine to make my hair look healthier as well. Any ideas?

Hi, The product that would fit your requirements is hair mousse, a type of hair product which helps in elevating the hair and fixing it into position. The hairstyle sported by David Tenant is the sort of shaggy "out of bed" style which is easy to be done with hair mousse. Simply apply it to moderately wet hair (squeeze out the hair off water when you get out of the shower) and go about your day. The haircut needed for this style is easy to be performed by a barber, it is just two types of layers, so just show the picture to the barber, he will know what to do. Lastly, remember that slightly wavy hair falls under the curly hair spectrum which makes wavy hair have specific needs different to straight hair.
