How often can I use a semi-permanent hair dye?

Bleached pink hair . . . . can I use a hair dye from the store to turn in brown (my natural hair color)?

• NEED HELP ASAP PLZ. So I went to the salon and got small pieces of my hair bleached (four sections though out my head and a part of my bangs) it looks awesome but I kind of came to the desistion that its just not my style. So at the salon they had to bleach my hair before dying it pink and I was wondering if I can go to a store like Hyvee buy a dark brown hair dye-i dont want to go to dark and dye over the pink and my natural darkish brown hair color and how it would turn out. I know I should go back to where i got my hair done to begin with but honestly I don't have the time to and I would like to dye my hair tomorrow or this weekend. Anyway help please? Or anyway that you now how to get my pink hair matching the rest of my hair? THANKS!

  You can. Dark colors will almost always take over lighter ones well as a rule of thumb.
