How do you know if he wants to be more than just friends?

He's being flirty and making moves but I don't know if he just wants to be friends or more?

• This kid I am friends with has recently started flirting with me! We are both juniors in high school and he's in one of my classes. He has been (for a couple weeks) smiling and laughing a lot, saying my name when he talks to me and like jokes around and makes fun of me but laughs at the same time. Last week he did this thing and said he had a cut and wanted to know if it was infected. I told him no but he said "well just to be sure I should have your number in case something happens and I have to call you so you can look at it if it gets infected!" so I gave him my number...well this was last tuesday and he still hasn't called me! And I've been out sick so I haven't seen him until today! It was the first day I saw him again but he dropped the other thing and told me, and just me, nobody else in the class, and he has a bunch of friends in it and said my name then goes "someone hit my baby!" and I knew he meant his car, and I was like ohhh man that's rough and he just kept saying yeah and it wasn't even his fault cause his mom was driving his car for some reason. I was waiting for him to say something else cause usually he tells me I have such a nice car and he wants to drive it but he actually has a nicer car. We just left it at that though and he didn't talk to me for the rest of class. Is he just being friendly? I feel like it was definitely flirting and I told a couple friends and they said the same thing! Should I text him or something? I don't really like him like that, I just want to know more as to why he is doing this! And also, why would you get a girls number if you weren't going to use it? So basically my questions are: If he flirting/do you think he likes me? Should I make the first move? Maybe he is scared and thinks I'll reject him? What would you do?

  It sounds like he's flirting, but it seems weird how he basically asked for your number and hasn't called or texted you yet. I don't know if it's true, but I kind of get the impression that he has other girls that he flirts with and that you aren't the current direct interest. Like the kind of guy who has potential girls lined up in his phone that he can call when he gets rejected. Just find out if you're the only one he's flirting with. You're probably not. Don't make the first move. Let him come to you. If he was really interested in texting you, he would have by now.
