What is the best and fastest Powerline Ethernet Adapter available?

Can I use a Powerline Ethernet Adapter with Bell Wireless for my PS3?

• I have Bell internet (Canadian ISP) and am using Bell's wireless modem which is a 2Wire 2701 . I want the modem to be located the top level of my house (where my desktop computer is). I would like my internet signal to be stronger because my PS3 is in the basement and I play a lot of online games. I am wondering if I can use a powerline adapter or a wireless repeater to help the signal to my PS3. The main reason I ask is Bell tends to do things which make normal internet difficult-I didn't want to buy one of these things and not have it work because bell blocks some signal or does something weird. Do they work with any wireless network? Is one better than the other when it comes to PS3s? Thank you!

  Powerline adapters don't rely on the wireless part of your connection at all. One adapter will connect directly to your router with a cable, and the other adapter will connect directly to your playstation. Wifi is taken completely out of the equation. Since all the adaptor is really doing is bridging the signal over the powerline, your bell modem/router shouldn't even be able to tell its there. I don't foresee you having any issues at all using a powerline system. I'm sorry I can't recommend any specific brands to you - I've only ever used the trendnet powerline adapters, but I can say they worked perfectly fine for my uses (I was putting my brother's xbox online).
