How Can I Copy My Hard Drive Over to a Larger Drive to Replace Smaller One?

I need to know how i can make an exact copy of my hard drive to my new hard drive. I have a 250GB drive that im upgrading to a 1TB. I dont wana have to reinstall windows and everything. I just want to copy everything over to the new drive so everything is the exact same thing as it is now. What software can i use to do this? this new drive will be the new boot drive. the old drive was the boot drive, but will no longer be once i do this.

Free disk cloning software:- http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/home-edition/ . Make sure you boot off the new drive when the clone is done, then you can erase the old one (do a quick format).

Go to the manufactures website of the new hard drive and they should have a free cloning software program that you can download and install. This program will make an exact copy or clone of your smaller hard drive. Once you have cloned the new Drive just swap them out and you are ready to go. By the way you can use the smaller one as a new external hard drive. Just purchase a hard drive enclosure and now you have a second hard drive to back up files on.
