Answer:
Question is a bit vague and broad but here are some things: 1. Slowness in a laptop > I am guess you mean while running it: Background applications running (too many which are taking up CPU usage), not enough RAM for applications you are running. If you system meets the "bare minimum" for the OS, don't be shocked if a high CPU or RAM application like a game runs slow. 2. When RAM is not sufficient, it isn't for the system itself (otherwise it usually will not boot), it is for the software running on the PC. See notes above. 3. A processor is considered "slow" if it is older, out of date or does not meet requirements for an application. 4. When the BIOS is having problems, things that can show up: Does not boot (get error beeps), can not find windows, can not find the hard drive. 5. Detecting hardware problems without opening it up are: Slowness when system specs meet or exceed needs, strange sounds coming from the PC, error messages on boot or once inside Windows or other operating system.

Hello, First of all clean your local drive in which you have your operating system and then De-frag it by disk De-fragmenter in your system tool's option, After that install and instantly update any good antivirus in your system and scan your local drive first. following these points to make it perform well: 1) Stop all start up running applications 2) Disable your firewall 3) Stop background running applications 4) Maintain registry by some reliable program like Reginout because registry cannot be done by hand 5) Properly De-frag your system 6) Remove all junk from your system by cleaning your discs Thanks, Hope I helped

You can try a few steps to find if you need to reinstall the operating system or change any hardware. Please follow the instructions below: To find out if it is hardware issue: 1. Restart your laptop and as soon as you restart, repeatedly tap (Press and Release) the F10 key on the keyboard. 2. After entering Bios- click system diagnostics- perform HDD self test and Memory test. 3. The results of these tests will tell you if your Hard disk or Ram is faulty and needs to be changed. To find out if its a software issue: 1. Restart your laptop and as soon as you restart, repeatedly tap (Press and Release) the F8 key on the keyboard. 2. Under advanced Boot options- Select Safe Mode 3. if your unit does not shutdown in safe mode, then you will have to reinstall the OS. * If all the hardware tests pass and reinstalling OS also does not fix the issue, then i suspect the system board needs to changed. Hope this helps..!!
