SD Card Undetectable, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! :'(?

I just got back home from school, my mom says "WTF my SD card is dead, will you please fix it son. It has all my pictures and videos from when I was pregnant with Tripp (my 2 year old baby brother). Well she said it just stopped working. It will not detect period. I have the Micro SD Adapter and have done tried that, it will not show up on my computer, I'm currently on my Windows Vista desktop. [DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT COPYRIGHT PROTECTION LOCK BEING ON, I can clearly see that it is off, and this is a brand new adapter] I've tried hooking my Android phone VIA: USB, but it wont work, IT ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT SHOW UP. Its just blank, i cant mount my phone with the USB because for some reason "There is no SD card in my phone". I've tried putting the Micro SD into my HTC Android T-Mobile Comet, and my moms Android T-Mobile myTouch. It wont show at all. Well on my Comet phone, I have this app called "SDreader" this app explores contents of the SD. OK so i open this up and it and it says cannot mount SD Card...What does this mean. Could it mean the Card has a Virus on it or what!!!??? how do i fix it? Please help!!!!!!!!!!! Additional Info that could possibly help you out------- -Im 14 -I have a windows 7/Vista/Xp laptop and desktop -Micro SD is 1 GB -Micro SD Adapter is Kingston Please help me!!!!!

well usually the card itsself will not get a virus on it. I have had problems before with mine doing the exact same thing. the app you have you should not need though. all you would have to do is make sure the card is cleaned off and the insert is to and put your card in there and go to pictures on your phone. you might have to search and find them but they should automatically show up on your phone. if that doesnt work go to your phone settings and change your storage to your sd card that way your phone will be more likely to recognize the card. if all else fails you can go to walmart and ask for a memory card its like a regular memory card but it has a slit inside it where your sd card fits in and you can just either plug that into your computer through a jack or if its a laptop right through the computer or put it into a camera and then plug the camera to the computer. the card is not broken its just havin some minor problems processing through the devices your are trying to use
