How to fix Ipod Nano 4th Gen backlight?

• So just like an hour ago i dropped my ipod on the floor as I was cleaning (very small drop :/) all of a sudden the whole screen goes black but i could still hear the clicking noises from the wheel click thing when i spun it... after like half an hour the clicking noise goes away, and now my ipod is completely black on the backlight, and i can't do anything with it... :( The Ipod symbol doesn't show up anymore when i plug it on my laptop, but it works on my dvd ipod dock thingy, it shows all the music and stuff, but when i play a song, it only comes out through the ipod, but not from the speakers as it should be... (the screen remains black the whole time) I've gone into research, as to say I'm thinking of opening the inside of my ipod and trying to fix the problem... Also I'm not considering a replacement... though if prices are generous enough i might consider it. What should I do????... I want my Ipod to work again :(
