What can i put in my hand luggage?

Im flying with fly be, can i put my laptop in my hand luggage bag and travel?

    You can put in your hand luggage (have you checked you don't contravene the size/weight limitations?) but you have to take it out and put through the security scanner on it's own.

Most people take their laptops with them as hand luggage you will be fine. You will probably have to x-ray it separately though so either carry it separately or make sure you can take it out easily.
