Swollen glands, runny and itchy nose, what is this?

Ill with sore throat, swollen glands, blocked nose?

    Sounds like he has virus, which he's already been given medication fr, unfortunately when virus gets into your system it will go when it feels like going. Drinking plenty of fluids is important....and i don't mean alcoholic :-) fluid intake is very important. Warm water with a spoonful of honey is okay for throat. Vitamin C intake is important too, helps immune system. He should start to feel better within week or two. These types of viruses usually lasts for about 2-3 weeks and he should start to feel normal again after that. Paracetamol will help with temperature etc but ibuprofen will help the inflammatory part, so he could take two ibuprofen to help with inflammation of that fever, joints in muscles, aches and pains etc. Hope this helps a tiny bit :-) Liz
