  • I am on a diet and am looking for some low calorie food ideas. like 250 calories or under for meals and 100 calories or under for snacks.I do not want to exceed 580 calories a day. I know its a extreme deficit but this weight loss system works for me. by the way, I am a pescatarian / a vegetarian who eats seafood only. Let me get my questions out of the way real quick. 1. I am currently 5 feet 4 inches and 134 pounds. About how much more weight should I lose? I was thinking to have a goal weight of 118 pounds. So... I was thinking of losing about 10 to 15 more pounds. 2. I started my diet about a week ago. At 140 pounds. I have lost 6 pounds so far. When should I expect to reach my goal weight if I keep up with this? So now for food, I need some more ideas. Any suggestions?

you should set a more realistic goal for yourself, like 2-3 pounds a week, and you can easily do that. also try doing some cardio exercises. Calorieking.com has the calories for pretty much every food, also negative calorie foods are always good. By eating celery, for example, you'll be burning a few calories because it takes effort to chew and is mostly water. Your goal weight will probably be met in a few months, 3,4, maybe more. depends if you keep this up or how easily you lose and gain weight, good luck.

The best way to go about this is to keep it simple. You don't need a fancy diet to lose weight. Honestly, 1000 to 1200 calories is probably not enough and is not a healthy way to lose weight. You probably will lose weight, but you'll gain it back once you start to eat a normal diet again. You should only lose about one to two pounds a week on a healthy diet. Your body NEEDS a certain amount of calories to function, and 1000 to 1200 isn't going to cut it. A good way to make your own diet is to think about what people would have eaten hundreds of years ago, when it was rare for people to be very overweight. Diets consisted of mostly fruits and vegetables, breads made with whole grains, and meats (but not a whole lot-most people eat more meat than is necessary, adding fat to their diet today) So try to eat foods that aren't processed or frozen. They also didn't eat very much sugar back then, so avoid excessive amounts. Also, drink a lot of water. Try to replace most of your drinks throughout the day with water. You need a certain amount of calories, and a certain type of calories. You don't want the empty type that come from things like sweets and starches. Eat granola bars that are high in protein and fiber-they'll keep you feeling full longer. And try to make time for some form of exercise. Park in the farthest spot in the parking lot every day.
