Are stores open during Easter Sunday?

Are liquor stores or restaurants open on Easter Sunday?

  • Answer:

It depends on the state you live in. In some states liquor stores are closed on all Sundays and since Easter is on a Sunday then that would apply. In a few states liquor stores may be closed for the holiday. (Rare.) In few instances liquor stores are closed for the holiday per the owner. (Rare again.) Bars should be open no matter the state. There are also dry counties that do not even have liquor stores.

It largely depends on the state you reside in. Some states close liquor stores/ban booze sales on Sunday. I know the state I live in and my parents live in do not - some will. A neighboring state does, however. Which blew my mind. . . I would contact your local gas station and see what the laws are. They'll have no problem telling you what the laws are in your state/area. I know that in IL you can buy liquor all the time - in WI, IN, and other neighboring states it's up to local laws when you can buy beer - I was in IN not too long ago and you couldn't get beer om Sundays - go figgure . . . I've only had one time that I couldn't buy beer in St. Louis and it was from being too early in the AM. Long story short - check your local ordinances . . .

I am sure they will be open. It also depends on your state about the liquor store. Here in Atlanta some liquor stores are closed on Sunday due to the law but since they bill passed about that it depends on the owner of the liquor store. You can always call the restaurants.

Liquor stores in Texas are closed on Sundays. Most states may require them to close on holidays like Easter. Restaurants however, are closed mostly on Christmas day and Thanksgiving only.

Depends on location and what their license entitles them to sell.
