Heed the words from Nancy about for-profit/career/proprietary colleges. Universal Technical Institute is one of them. Some for-profit schools are fine. Some are not. Your husband should definitely not be tempted to take out a private student loan to help him finance his education. If he can even qualify for one, the interest on such loans is much higher than that on Federal student loans, it starts accruing as soon as the loan money is paid out, and he will have to start repaying the loan (with the added interest) soon after loan funds are paid out. Many students have found that repaying such loans in a reasonable period of time is a terrible financial burden.
