What are crash/intensive courses?

I want to take fall courses at university but don't have some prerequisite courses?

• I want to register for Physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and biochemistry for fall 2012, however, I still need to take some prerequisite courses which are physics 2 and organic chemistry 2. I plan on registering for summer and fall courses at the same time. I want to take physics 2 and organic chemistry 2 during the summer so I will be able to take those other courses in fall. Will I be able to register for the fall courses because I am registering for the summer courses? Or will I have to wait until I finish the summer courses and hope that there are still openings for the fall courses?

  Can you possibly contact the registrar and/or instructors for those classes? If you have to show completion of those prerequisites before you can take the fall classes, you may have problems registering at the same time. But if you can talk directly to the registrar, he or she may be able to get you registered even if you won't have completed the prerequisites. Or the instructors may be able to issue you a waiver or a "pending completion of prerequisites" registration. This would in effect hold a place in those classes for you without a full registration, which would then get you into those classes once you completed the prerequisites.
