What is the point of a minor?

What is the point of a minor, and does it make it harder to fit in pre med courses?

  • Hi I plan on applying to med school or PT school (not sure yet) and I was planning on majoring in exercise physiology or athletic training at the university of Miami with a minor in sports medicine. What does the minor do? Does it make you more competitive? And does this make it harder to fit in pre med courses into schedule?

  • Answer:

A minor doesn't really do anything other than give you the oppurtunity to take more classes. It will be extremely difficult to fit that in with Pre Med although it DOES go along with it.
