What is the penalty for driving without a license in Nevada?

Driving without a license, insurance, and causing an accident in the UK. How to avoid penalty points?

  • One of my New friends just moved from the US he's 20 years old it hasnt even been a month and he already got arreested and has been charged with 3 crimes which are the following: driving without a license, without insurance and aggravated TWOC (taking with out concent). Long story short he took his dad's car and drove and caused an accident.. no one was hurt but the police was called and he got arrested.. he doesnt have a job and he came to the UK to attend Universtity he's suppose to start University on September 2012. now obviously he currently doesnt have a job so he wont be able to afford to pay for his fines and etc.. but he's most worried on the penalty points he's going to get and or even being disqualified to a driving license for years.. he was planning on gettin car to go to University (he's dad would buy it for him) but he's scared that with all the penalty point or even license suspended that when he would get his license he probably wont be able to drive the car because of the points no insurance company will take him in. what can he do!? a lot of drivers had even more than 39 penalty points but still haven't got their license banned or disqualified because of "exceptional circumstances" or hardships. now im wondering what kind of hardship would work for my friend? P.S he cant afford a lawyer so he's getting a free one

  • Answer:

SORRY mate HE does not have a license so he will not get POINTS on it. He will get fined and restricted from getting a license for a time. When he does get a license he will have high insurance rates for obvious reasons. Yes he needs a lawyer this could affect his ability to attend University and he may even have to leave the UK.

Penalty points?? He'll be lucky if he gets to stay in the country. He won't be driving for a good few years in the UK that's for sure.

In the UK 12 points gets you banned, not 39. If he's convicted of that lot of offences he's not going to be driving on UK roads for a considerable time. The aggravated TWOC alone carries a mandatory minimum 12 months disqualification, let alone the other offences. In short, he's going to get some hefty fines, possibly a community sentence, and be banned for at least a year. The Court is not going to be interested in his "exceptional circumstances".
