Would masters in Industrial engineering be good?

Masters in petroleum engineering after bachelors in industrial engineering?

  • hi, i am student of industrial engineering .after finishing my bachelors degree course i want to do masters in petroleum engineering. i have checked some entry requirements for masters in petroleum engineering and most of them saying bachelors from closely relevant field are allowed .(and mostly they mention mechanical, chemical) .do industrial engineers come under the allowed branches? i will take some prerequisite courses if needed.. i will really appreciate some suggestions and info.

  • Answer:

I would not think industrial engineering would be on the list but only the university can tell you that. Possibly you might get by if you take some of the undergraduate courses such as geology, physical chemistry, etc.
