-
Seth goes down a hill on a sled with vo = 12 m/s. When he has gone down the hill and is on the even area John jumps onto the sled and the sled slows down to 8 m/s. Seth is 60 kg and John is 40 kg. No friction is in place what so ever. Find the mass of the sled. Please explain the steps and what equations to use, I was trying to use m1u1 + m2u2 = m1u1 after + m2u2 after. The right answer is 20 kg.
