Is it common to get a period so quickly when starting metformin?

Starting birth control this Sunday. When will I get my period?

  • My pack has 21 active pills and 7 inactive pills. If I take the first one this Sunday, will I get it when the active pills run out and it is just the filler pills? If that is the case, would waiting a few days to start work in order to prevent when I get my period? Because if I start Sunday then I am supposed to get my period the day after prom (which scares me because what if I got it early or something). I would like to prevent it for a few days if that is possible. Any clarification about when I should expect my period is greatly appreciated!

    If you take it this sunday you'd probably get it sometime first week of may i take birth control too i usially start three days before i need a new pack
