Christians, how would you explain to an atheist How and Why sin from adam effect animals and plants?

[Animals attack because we sinned against the Lord. I believe it became in full force during the time of Moses or just afterwards. Read below.] King James Version Bible 2 John Chapter 1 3. You cannot, Atheists believe in factual information and science, they will not understand you. I used to be Catholic and then one day I realized that the words of a 6000 year old book written by a bunch of people who had a LOT to gain was probably a fairy tale with talking snakes and magical fruit. Not so dissimilar to the works of Disney. Science (and Atheism as a result) dictates that facts must be proven from more than 1 source. Religion has only 1 (bad) source and cannot give any others. Science can give hundreds that say otherwise. Think about it, what makes more sense. If I told you I had a unicorn in my closet that could cure all world hunger, disease, war, famine, poverty, civil unrest and make you immortal you would want to see it and then make it do those things right? My answer would be "you can't see it and it's a mystery why it does not fix everything" Now, about said closet unicorn, you ask me what it looks like, I tell you I have never seen it either but I know its there because it talks to me, you would call my a nut. That is how Atheists view Theists, nothing you could say to an Atheist would help them see YOUR magical closet unicorn (god).
