How old do you need to be to write screenplay?

I don't know of any actual age range that required. In fact there's a been a few teen writers (15,16,17,18) that have become very successful. Do you know the proper formatting for screenplay? Do you have screenwriting software? I'm assuming you have some ideas in mind for screenplay, and if so, get yourself some screenwriting software. There are quite a few out there. I use Final Draft. I believe that's one of the more popular ones and I like it. Its does most of the formatting for you. If you know how to format screenplays - awesome, but still do research. I started in my twenties about 10-12 years ago and prior to writing I research everything I could on how to write a screenplay from my Junior/Senior year in High School. Two years after graduating H.S. I wrote my first feature. I've written numerous shorts, and a few features and am working on 2-3 web series. Hope that helped. -Apple Dude
