Why do I have to take Latin at school?

Should I take french or latin for high school?

  • Ok I am in 8th grade and I'm scheduling courses for high school, but for my world language I don't know what I should take. I'm taking french currently and I suck at it (I have a D) but I recently did well on some tests. I heard that Latin is really hard but it helps with your SAT's and if you're entering into a medical field (I want to be a doctor). (And btw I'm not a horrible student so don't criticize me for wanting to be a doctor when I have a D, it's just world language I suck at.)

    I think Latin would be more helpful in the long run than French. It's probably better to take if you plan on becoming a doctor. French is a nice language but like I say I think Latin will benefit you more. :)

I'm in 8th grade and I want to be a doctor also, the main thing is that Latin is a little bit like spanish and if you know spanish it'll help you a lot. I choose French because it's the 3rd spoken language in the world and it's awesome, if you don't want to choose French go with Latin, it's really good.
