Are raised enzymes dangerous?

Is it dangerous if an old mole get's more raised over time?

  • I've heard that moles eventually get more raised over time. Well I have a brown one under my chin that I've had ever since I was a baby and I'm 19 now. I'd say over the last year or two it's gotten raised when before it was just flat. It's not itchy, inflamed, the colour hasn't changed and i don't think it's gotten bigger, just more raised. There are a few hairs in the mole that I pluck out every 3 days routinely as they irritate me as they're pointy and stubby. But I heard that pulling hairs turns moles dangerous is just a myth. But is it normal for moles to become slightly more raised over time?

  • Answer:

Any change of an appearance should be seen by a doctor. If hair is bothering you ask doctor if its safe to remove them.

Susie Q

It would need to be checked by a dermatologist to know if it's okay or something that should be removed. Never pull hairs from a mole. Just clip them off.
