How do I reply to my own question on here?

Answer:
Y!A is not a chat room. It is a knowledge-seeking site in a question & answer format. You have three options: You can go to the user's profile & see if they accept IMs and/or emails. If so (and you allow them too) you can contact them that way. You can make 'comments' when you pick your Best Answer. You can use the 'add details' function to add additional information to make your question more complete or understandable. Be careful what you add though, you don't want to have your question reported as a chatting violation. :o)

Technically, you don't, as this is neither a 'threaded' forum nor a chat room. You can use the 'edit' feature under your open question to add additional details, but nobody gets notified if you do that and most folks never return to a question once they've already posted an answer. You can click the avatar of an individual and see if they allow personal contact like IM or email, but many don't. Often, the only real solution is to post another question, with FULL details added, and see if you get other, better answers as a result.

you can chat limited times with other, when you changes your profile settings. go >>>MY ACTIVITY>Edit My Preferences>Privacy&Communications>The Answers Community can contact me: Via Email and then Submit (this way your email keeps hidden) Still other must have also same action Email available to send messages
