How To Lose Weight In A Healthy Way?

How can I change the way I think about food and lose weight healthy?

  • I had a baby 6 months ago and still need to lose a stone to get back to pre pregnancy weight and a healthy weight.....thing is before I got pregnant I used to be bulimic and would keep the weight off that way but I could eat what I wanted....I've tried getting help but nothing works I just need to do it myself and totally change the way I think....I do good sometimes and do healthy for few days then I'll binge I have started again making myself sick but I know that is not the answer and I never want to be doing this when my daughter grows up I will hate myself if she has the same attitude with food I do? Any help please I am getting so depressed and stressed.

  • Answer:

Hmmm.... you're right about that. It's not good to be a bulimic parent, because you might "model" that behavior when in front of your child. She might pick up that same bad habit. It seems like you are having emotional problems that are interfering with your regular eating habits. If you are angry, depressed, etc. you might eventually develop unhealthy sleeping and eating habits. Many anorexics and bulimics suffer from psychological and self-esteem issues. If you are having a stressful life, or are depressed about something, please talk to someone you trust about it. Never "bottle" your feelings. You never know what someone can do to help you with your life. If you resolve your emotional issues, you will improve your sleeping and eating habits.

Ok, all you have to do is dont buy meat..well you can eat meat but not as much Try eating some fruits like: mango oranges strawberries etc and when your done do some cardio do this everyday and you will lose 30 pounds in 2 months

I have always had trouble with my weight fluctuating and losing weight when I wanted to. I had my son two months ago and had gestational diabetes while I was pregnant. The diet I ate for that helped me lose weight. I now weigh 30 lbs less than I did before I was pregnant. I thought I'd go on a binge after I had my son but I never actually crave sugar anymore. I started off cutting out soda and juice completely. I drink water with lemon so it isn't as bland. I have lemon on salads instead of dressing. Look at the normal foods you make for dinner and see how you can make the same dishes healthier. Even if it means changing how the dish is composed. Start switching to complex carbs little by little if you aren't used to the taste. I found that making smaller changes has helped better than going on a diet. "Write this one down: the most important question about a fat loss program is NOT is it effective? The most important question is, is it sustainable? Can it be maintained long term? Is it functional in the real wold? Will it work as a lifestyle plan, not just. Quick Fix diet? Does it take over your life as an obsession rather than a balanced, healthy way of life? REALITY CHECK...if its not a lifestyle, you WILL FAIL and rebound with weight gain. No fantasyland diet tricks are gonna save you." -- Chai Fitness
