I can't keep my room or car clean? Is there something wrong with me?

well, yeah there's something wrong with you. You just keep delaying, you find it easier to throw everything around and put it away instead of putting it where it's supposed to be. Then you look at your room or car and it's a mess, so you tidy it and you clean up everything. Then 2 or 3 days later it's dirty once more. This actually happens to me when I'm too deppressed to even hang my clothes back in the closet, all you have to do is get used to putting everything where it belongs immediately, and not keep delaying till you get piles of stuff to be cleaned up, when you eat something in your car throw the pack in a trashcan right away, when you take off your T-shirt put it back in the closet, this doesn't take much time or effort :)

You have no self pride. You keep stuff clean at your boyfriends house so he does not think you are a pig.

I can understand all of that. You said that when you stay at your boyfriends house that you are a neat freak. You may be one of us who uses our own houses more like a gas station. I.E. Fill up, or go, or sleep. Maybe you feel more at home at your boyfriends house and without knowing it consider that more like home. As for the cleanliness I wouldn't worry too much. If you cant find things like groceries that can rot or lose your dog or cat you may have a problem. If your car is so dirty that someone has to clean the seats off to sit down you may have another problem. But all in all, if it doesn't bring in rats and roaches and the toilet isn't growing grass in it it's your house. Go forth and be happy. If your friends and family members grade the house or car give them a mop and broom or show them how to turn the front doorknob to the right.
