Should I get a macbook or vaio?

Either would be a good choice, however, I found there are more programs that are just for PC period. There is more support from Microsoft if You are a Windows user. MAC comes with a lot of good full pre loaded programs for making music and video editing but you may or may not use them. I found it was better to purchase the programs separately as I needed. No apple is not better for art and design, that is just what advertising wants you to believe. It is fine to Use a PC for animation, art and graphic design, you just have to buy the software separately

Dude, MacBook Pros are the best laptops you can buy. And I'm not saying that as a mindless fanboy, i have a lot of experience with Sont, Dell, HP, anything-that-runs-windows and they all pale and stutter in comparison to not only looks and speed but the OS it runs.

Okay, well, I've worked with both, I'm currently working on a macbook. There are advantages to both, but to be honest, in my experience, I'd stick with the Sony and work with Windows rather than the mac systems. The biggest problems i've found is available software for mac. And there are just some things that I could do with the pc that I can't do here. Now, there've always been advantages to mac because their operating system has been so much safer from outside attack, but my computer got hit with a bad virus last year, the mac defender virus and it compromised my system, so it's certainly better but not foolproof. And it depends on what you want for using. I do a lot of photography and graphics so i moved to the mac. I've had a huge problem getting colors right with the mac, that I never had with the pc, and calibrating the monitor more than six times still didn't get it quite perfect. edit: here's what I don't get with the thumbs down. I have issues with the mac, it's not an opinion, it's a fact.
