How can I increase my credit score?

  • How can I increase my credit score? Apart from the obvious, like keeping the same job and house and paying bills on time, which I do. How else can I increase my score faster? Especially if I cannot prove my worthiness by getting credit cards and loans? I have a clean credit file except for credit enquires. No debts etc. However, It seems I need debts in order to get a higher score, but I keep getting declined for credit. I would be happy to take out a small loan to prove I can pay it back, but no one seems to want to lend to me.

    See if you can get a pre-paid credit or debit card and use that for a while. After you've shown you can handle that responsibly, the bank will be more inclined to issue you a regular credit card.

stop applying for more credit, the more you apply the worst it gets, they take points away for too many inquires. you do what you doing, pay off your loans and bills and keep you job. there is no quick fix to increasing your credit/

Apply and obtain a credit card. Then use it for minimal purcases and PAY it OFF MONTHLY!
