What camera for tutorials + reviews for Youtube?

I would like to review consumer products and also do makeup tutorials. I have an awesome HD webcam by Microsoft (LifeCam Cinema) but my computer is too cheap so the videos can't come out right. So instead of getting a good computer which would require more money, I need a great camera! I'd also like suggestions for video editing software if you'd wish to share. What kinda camera I'm looking for: - Something with great focus/HD so I can record small letters on packaging - Working well in lighting - I'd love things to be true to color - Great sound + audio obviously. - Preferably something no more than $350 but open to more costly options if worth it. - Can take good pictures also.

Either Canon PowerShot SX150 IS which is probably around $170, or go for the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS which is $400. Both great cameras. Video editing software would be Sony Vegas. Good luck! :)
