    The most affordable and nicest accommodations for your money, is to sublet an apartment in the area for that time. You should check Craigslist New York and stay away from brokers. Only sublet by owners. I think they even have a summer sublet section. Lots of New Yorkers go away for a few weeks in the summer and do this. Either have someone check the place out for you or arrange to come in to see it if you aren't too far away. I know of many dancers in for summer intensives at SAB, BAE and ABT who have done that and have found fabulous places for not all that much money. Also check with the Rockette SI program for leads. You may not wont to live right in that area. Remember, most places are just a walk or subway ride away. Rather then live in midtown, you might want to look at the upper West Side (70s and 80s to 90th but no higher) or Murray Hill, Gramercy or Chelsea area. Maybe even a college dorm at NYU or Fordham.
