Camcorder Question - How do i record the display on my (Xbox Gaming in this case) with a CamCorder?

Camcorder i have is the JVC Everio GZ-MS120 I have a Samsung TV it has The Red/White (No Yellow) and the HD cables (Green,Red,Blue) I have splitters - to make 2 holes for each color instead of 1. I want to record my Xbox Gameplay with the camcorder so i have the splitters for the Xbox Jacks and for the Camcorder Jacks (by jacks i mean the white red and yellow) I tried to use the splitters to record with the camcorder and there was no yellow and when i plugged in the wire into the actual camcorder it wasnt showing my TV so i don't know what i did wrong. Some Please Help Me.
