My Fn buttons in my Macbook Pro dont work anymore?

Ever since my computer restarted its been acting strange. I have a windows 7 in my macbook pro. The icons in the bottom disappeared but I managed to get them back. But now my Fn button which i pressed to change brightness and volume dont work anymore. I can manually change it but its a nuisance. I tried system restore but for some reason it cannot detect any previous dates so I need help

You say "Fn buttons" plural, but their is only one fn button. It's at the lower left corner. "I have a windows 7 in my macbook pro" So do I, but I am not using 7 right now. How about you? What OS are you actually asking about? For OS 10.7: System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab. Remove the check / tick from "Use all F1, F2, etc...." For Windows 7: Reinstall drivers from the Boot Camp download called "Windows Support Software".
