Do you think the doctor will tell me to quit drinking when i go to the doctor?

  • i am still getting drunk regularly and drinking excessively and secretly the whole time since i have noticed this, at the very back half of my tongue is a whitish looking patch with some red bumps and spots and i have noticed this since october of 2010) i have not noticed any growth from what i can see and sometimes when i clear my throat it feels and tastes like snot with some whitish looking phlegm comes up when i spit it out and when i breathe in and out sometimes it has a high pitched sound and i have read that it can mean throat cancer? and under both sides of my jawline are Little bumps about three or four on each side, cancer to? i don't know if this makes any difference or not but i can seem to move my tongue around just fine and eat and drink without any pain or discomfort and i remember back in august of 2010 i had a sore throat for about 8-10 days and it went away it wasn't too sore and i used some cough drops to lol i have asked this before and some people said it is not cancer but an infection, so does this sound life threatening if not treated? i am a 21 year old male and i still drink alcohol every week even though i am experiencing all what i have described! i also have asperger's syndrome and obsessive compulsive disorder as well and i AM NOT kidding about the august and october 2010! and i ONLY drink alcohol i DO NOT smoke or do any other drugs i ONLY drink alcohol! and also feel sometimes light chest pain and stomach acid or gas in my stomach or left and right side! sometimes in my back to! and yet i still drink everyweekend and i am dying and will be dead within the next year i'd say, it is my fault i know but do you think the doctors are going to tell me that it is too late to treat my cancer in my throat and stomach? and i can just be put on life support? i REALLY do NOT want to quit drinking as i would problably have to get professional help i think im an alcoholic

    Alls they can do is SUGGEST you stop. They can't force you too. And if I were the doctor, and you as the patient had no intention of quitting drinking, I WOULDN'T treat your cancer. Sure, it's unethical, but your going to die sooner than later if you continue to drink so why bother with treating the cancer (that you most likely don't have).

you are really quite young to develop throat or tongue cancer; typically kids your age develop liver disease or "acute traumatic insults" meaning a car accident or falling off a bridge in a drunken stupor. your "throat symptoms" aren't consistent with cancer; more consistent with asthma. and yes, you probably have some type of infection or reactive lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes). Get off Dr.Google and quit drinking your life away.

You are going to die if you keep drinking like this. It sounds like your liver is already shot.
