Compatible video editor for flip ultra?

Question on codec stuff for Corel Video Studio, and AVS Video Editor?

  • When I import a video from my camcorder into Corel Video Studio Pro X 3, the codec of the video doesn't register, but when I do the same thing for AVS Video Editor, importing videos from my camcorder, it works. For some reason, the codec works for AVS but not Corel. Is there a reason why it does this? Because it doesn't make any sense.

  • Answer:

The short answer is that AVS has the CODEC that is needed and Corel does not. The CODEC could be shared, but for some reason either AVS isn't sharing or Corel isn't looking - or both.
