How much more expensive would switching to Verizon be from T-Mobile?
-
So my contract expires by the end of this year. I'm planning ahead lol. I want the iPhone, but of course I'd have to switch to AT&T or Verizon, I personally believe verizon is more family friendly (FOR ME) because I have more friends and family on the verizon network, I'm under the impression they have the free minutes verizon to verizon calling? Anyway, with that said, my Tmobile family plan costs about 130$ a month give or take a few dollars with 3 people on the plan (me my mom & dad). I'm the only one with unlimited texting & data due to my blackberry. Would it cost me about the same each month with Verizon? My family doesn't really use the phone all that often, but anywhere from 500-700 minutes sounds good. P.S**I send and receive anywhere from 5,000 to 8,000 texts a month. Not having unlimited texts is simply out of the question for me :(

Answer:
Family plan 700 anytime minutes $69.99 2nd line $9.99 3rd line $9.99 Unlimited messaging for all phones $30.00 2Gb of data $30 5GB of data $50 10GB of data $80 Then add an Additional 25% percent of your bill on for federal taxes and fees. 3 phones, unlimited messaging, 2GB of data $149.97 + $37.49 = $187.46 3 phones, Unlimited messaging, 5GB of data $169.97 + $42.49 = $212. 46 3 phones, unlimited messaging, 10GB of data $199.97 + $49.99 = $249.96 I would stay with T-Mobile or look into some prepaid phones. Net10 offers unlimited talk, text and web for $50 per month. They also offer 750 minutes or text messages for $25 per month. You can get 3 phones and unlimited plan for one phone and 750 minutes or texts for the other 2 phones for $100 per month.

700 minutes family plan (2-lines): $69.98 (Yes, it comes with unlimited IN-calling) additional line (3rd line): $9.99 unlimited texting: $30 Data plans: ($10/GB overage, unless otherwise stated) 2GB: $30 5GB: $50 10GB: $80 hotspot/tethering (2GB): $20 (in addition, to data plan) I pay about 15% in taxes and surcharges. With 2GB plan: $139.97 + tax ($21.00) = $160.97 5GB plan: $159.97 + tax ($24.00) = $183.97 10GB plan: $189.97 + tax ($28.50) = $218.47 Verizon offers discounts to employees of various companies. Side Note: I've seen as low as 8% and as high as 22%, I currently get 19% off my bill. I pay $142.70/month for 4 lines. Each line cost $14.95/month, which would make the cost $127.95/month for 3 lines with the same discount. **price with 19% discount and data package that is no longer available**
