Spinning fishing gear?

Pack Spinning rod, looking for ideas Trout fishing?

• Im off to college and I want to take both my fly rod and spinning rod with me. My fly rods are simple, they are 7'6" and 9' and break into 4 pieces, doesnt take much space. My spinning rod on the other hand is 7' or 8' and breaks into 2 pieces, its just too big. I want a nice little spinning rod that I can break down and store in a rod tube about the size of my fly rod. I will be fishing for trout mainly but the one river is prime steelhead and salmon fishing, so I want a rod that if I was to hook into a big fish wont snap, might not be able to land the fish but I dont want one that cant handle the weight and strength of the fish. I have a little Daiwa mini-spin but its way to small only rated to something like 2lb line. I usually fish 6-8 pound line. Also i may on occasion go do some sun fish and small mouth/large mouth bass fishing. Its an hour from the school so it wouldnt be often but If I can get a rod that can handle 10 pound line and allow me to catch bass that would be awesome as well. But its not necessary my one fly rod can handle that just fine. Lastly, how is a good way to make ones tackle box more travel friendly? I have a big plastic plano box that I love but it wouldnt be much fun to take or keep in my room.

  Eagle claw by wright and mcgill,have trailmaster pack rods,there should be one for your fishing conditions,check out what's currently available.get a smaller tackle box,one you can tote along when you travel,I have one that's a waistpak kind of thing my kids gave me for father's day.Looks sort of like a fanny pak,only for fishing.I hang it on a coathook in the closet.
