How long does a sun rash last?

Horrible itchy rash, from sun or something else?

• I am reasonably fair skinned and spent quite a bit of time gardening in the past week, while the weather was really warm. Since then I have had a really horrid itchy rash on both arms (which were exposed in the sun) Yes I have been known to burn in the past but never had anything like this rash. Haven't been in the sun at all since I would say Thursday, but it's itching like mad and covered in red bumps. Have tried sudocrem but it didn't help at all. Is this from sun exposure or what?? And how do I get rid of it?

  Yes possibly. It could be an allergic reaction. I have the same thing. My doctor said it is from the sun. I was put on benadryl and prednazone which cleared it up. I also use cloderm. It is a cream that I find helps with it. You apply it daily twice a day. Also, try not to itch because it makes it worsw and spreads feom arm to arm and multiplies. Try to stay out of the sun
