Can I get my Old MSN Messenger back WITHOUT Essentials?

    It may be possible to install an older version, but I wouldn't suggest doing it for security reasons. Running older software is never a good idea, especially when newer versions are the ones getting security patches. Your computer is only as secure as your weakest point. Instead, I recommend looking into other messengers. I made the switch from the official MSN client to Pidgin ( http://www.pidgin.im/ ) a few years ago - I've never felt the urge to return. There are actually a lot of free, open source clients available. A quick Google Search should yield all the results you need.
