How to edit a video?

How to upload a video for edit? Best answer please!?

  • I went on a dive/snorkel tour and purchased the video of the tour. There is a few seconds of the video that I wanted to edit out. Once it's edited, I want to upload it in a public forum for my family to see. Video is 5-10 minutes. I thought that maybe I can upload it to YouTube and edit it from there? I thought maybe itunes? Go to "my computer" and drag it from the H drive? Problem is, the video that I purchased has 23 different files. I guess all files together compile the entire video? How am I supposed to upload all the files and hope that they create the movie once uploaded? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    If you have a PC, there should be some editing software on your computer already. Windows Live Movie Maker comes with Windows 7; Windows Movie Maker 6 with Vista; Windows Movie Maker 2.6 (my favorite) with XP. There are also many editing programs available for free download online. Once you have your editing program open, import all of your files. Then put them together to make one video. Save your video to your computer. Then upload your file to YouTube or any place you want to upload it to.
